Patient Assistance for Prescriptions
If you are having financial difficulties, you may qualify for patient assistance from the pharmaceutical companies and receive your medication for FREE. Simply go to
www.needymeds.org website and search for your specific medication and download the appropriate application form. Most of these programs require proof of income, so make sure you get a copy of your most recent tax return, copy of SSI payment, or if no income at all then a letter giving a brief summary of your situation.
Medicare Part D Patients
You may be eligible for "Extra Help" LIS Program and benefit from a reduced co-pay or $0 copay for prescriptions. Simply go to www.SocialSecurity.gov/prescriptionhelp or call 1-800-772-1213 to apply. There is no cost for this assistance!
